When I visited Texas last year, I felt like in a different world than other States of US. I don’t know why but it is one of my favorite states in US. May be, after seeing people with cowboy/ cowgirl boots there, because of old American cowboy films; I felt like I was in real America. It is the second largest state in the southern US with desert, pine forests and Rio Grande, a river where is the border with Mexico and it is the home of Cattles that has longest horns in the world. Texas Long Horn has become the symbol of Texas as a breed of cattle known for its characteristic horns. These horns can extend to over 1.8 meters tip to tip for bulls and 2.1 meters tip to tip for steers and exceptional cows.
The term of six flags over Texas tell us several nations had ruled over territory. Spain was the first country to claim the area of Texas. French held for a short time and Mexico had controlled the territory until 1836. Texas had won its own independence and had become an independent republic in 1845. It officially joined the Confederate States of America in 1861.
